Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Chinese Classics in English handles. The controller is Valentin Sarić (private individual, publishing as Polybook Press), Kriska 107, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, valllentinsaric1@gmail.com.

Payments

Checkout, payment and invoices are handled by Polar (polar.sh) as merchant of record, with its payment processor. Polar collects your name, email, billing country and payment details under Polar’s privacy policy. We never see your card details. From Polar we receive your order details and email address so that we can deliver and support your purchase.

Browsing

The site is hosted by here.now, which keeps basic visit statistics (page views) and standard server logs. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers (your IP address is sent to Google). We do not use advertising trackers or marketing cookies. Some pages also use Microsoft Clarity to see, in aggregate, how visitors use the pages (clicks, scrolling); Clarity sets cookies and processes data under Microsoft’s privacy statement. You can block it with any content blocker without losing any function. Comments you post are stored with the name you give and checked by an automatic moderation service (OpenAI).

If you write to us, we keep your email only to reply.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its use. Email valllentinsaric1@gmail.com; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Croatian data protection authority (AZOP) or the authority in your country.

Keeping data

We keep order records as long as tax law requires, and other emails only as long as needed to answer you.
